Mechanism of Action
Flutriafol belongs to the demethylation inhibitor (DMI) group of fungicides. It works by blocking the biosynthesis of ergosterol , an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This inhibition results in abnormal membrane formation, arrested hyphal growth, and ultimately the destruction of fungal cells .
Systemic movement : Rapid absorption through foliage and roots, followed by upward xylem translocation.
Protective activity : Prevents spore germination and initial infection.
Curative activity : Stops existing infections in early stages of colonization.
Residual effect : Extended protection even after spraying.
