The combination of herbicides and mutual chemical reactions can affect the use of herbicides. Know how they interact to achieve the best results. China Pesticide First Network hereby summarizes the following information for your reference: Type of interaction
When mixed with different herbicide varieties, the herbicides will interact, and the types of interaction can be divided into: addition, synergism and antagonism.
1. Addition
Addition means that the actual herbicidal effect of the two herbicides is equal to the sum of the herbicidal effects of the two herbicides calculated according to the relevant model.
2. Synergism
Synergism means that the actual herbicidal effect of the two herbicides is greater than the sum of the herbicidal effects of the two herbicides calculated according to the relevant model.
3. Antagonism
Antagonism means that the actual herbicidal effect of the two herbicides is less than the sum of the herbicidal effects of the two herbicides calculated according to the relevant model.
Mutual judgment method
According to the definition of different interaction types above, it is judged that the interaction type between herbicides is affected by the calculation method (correlation model) of the theoretical value of joint action between herbicides. Different models calculate different theoretical values, which may result in different types of interactions. The two commonly used models are the additive dose model and the multiplicative survival model.
