What Is Rodenticide?

The rodenticides we use generally use second-generation anticoagulants. The main mechanism of action is to destroy the hematopoietic mechanism of rodents and cause internal bleeding in rats. Compared with traditional highly toxic rat drugs, second-generation anticoagulants have the following characteristics:

1. Security. The second-generation anticoagulant has a long duration of action. Once an accident occurs, there is a longer period of time for treatment; and the second-generation anticoagulant such as bromadiolone is a vitamin K1, which is easier to obtain. Unlike the poisonous rat poison, such as the poisonous rat poison, the rapid accidental accident caused us to have a short reaction time and no special antidote, which is very likely to cause personal injury or death.

2. Good palatability. The new mouse bait has good palatability to the mice, and it is not easy to cause the rats to refuse to eat, thus ensuring the effect of the poisonous mouse.

3. The killing effect is good. The killing effect mentioned here is mainly aimed at the new avoidance response of mice. Rats are suspicious. When new things or foods are encountered, they will often take some temptations, such as feeding a small amount or feeding by the old and weak groups. Other members of the species will determine whether they are safe according to the results of these exploratory behaviors. Therefore, the highly toxic rat drug often achieves certain effects at the beginning, and then the effect goes from bad to worse. The reason is simple: the mouse that has taken the rat bait transmits the "dangerous" message to other members, causing food refusal and avoidance. After the reaction, the result of poor post-effects will be logical. The second-generation anticoagulant, because of its long incubation period (usually 5-7 days), often gives the mouse a "safe" false information, so it is easier to achieve long-term, stable and effective rodent control.
