Weed control is optimized when CRASH Pyroxasulfone 850WG is applied evenly to moist soil just prior to incorporation by sowing. Adequate rainfall soon after sowing is essential for herbicide uptake by germinating weeds. Weed control may be reduced if weed seeds are buried by cultivation prior to application, or in soils with insufficient moisture for herbicide uptake, or in leaching-prone soils where heavy rainfall causes movement of the herbicide out of the weed seed zone.

Additional Factors

Uneven application, rigid/cloddy soil, excess stubble (>50%), and germinated weeds not treated by a knockdown herbicide may also reduce weed control.
