Aluminum Phosphide 56%/57% TB | Powerful Fumigant for Stored Grain and Rodent Control

This product is a highly toxic broad-spectrum fumigation insecticide. It appears as gray or gray-green tablets and is flammable when exposed to moisture. Mainly used to fumigate and kill various warehouse pests and space pests. Aluminum phosphide produces highly toxic phosphine gas after absorbing water. Phosphine enters the insect body through the respiratory system of the insect and acts on the respiratory chain and cytochrome oxidase of the cell mitochondria, inhibiting the normal respiration of the insect and causing the insect to die.

Mode of Action: Penetrating Gas for Complete Control

Aluminum Phosphide releases phosphine gas (PH₃) upon contact with moisture or humidity. This gas rapidly diffuses through grains, seeds, and fumigation chambers, targeting insect and rodent respiration systems:

    • Insects: Disrupts mitochondrial function and halts energy production, leading to death at all life stages (egg, larva, pupa, adult).

    • Rodents: Kills ground-burrowing species like moles and field mice by suffocating them in sealed environments.

Its systemic activity and gaseous penetration allow for complete disinfestation even in hard-to-reach areas.

Applications: Versatile Use in Multiple Sectors

    Stored Commodity Fumigation

    Used for:

    • Cereal grains (wheat, corn, rice, barley, sorghum)

    • Pulses and oilseeds

    • Dry nuts and spices

    • Seeds, animal feed, and tobacco leaves

    Rodent Burrow Treatment

    Targets:

    • Field rodents (moles, voles, gophers)

    • Underground pests in orchards, pastures, and non-crop lands

    Application Guidelines

    Fumigation in Stored Products

    Application Site Recommended Dose Duration
    Grain Storage (Bulk) 1.5 – 3g/m³ 3 – 5 days
    Seed/Feed Silos 2g/m³ 5 days
    Tobacco Warehouses 2 – 3g/m³ 4 – 5 days

Note: Ensure airtight sealing of the fumigation site. Post-treatment ventilation is critical before re-entry.

    Rodent Control in Fields

    Target Pests Recommended Use
Field Rats, Moles 1–2 tablets per burrow, sealed tightly
Gophers Place tablets in tunnels before sealing

Always avoid using during heavy rain or wet soil conditions.

    Safety Precautions & Handling

    • Operator Certification Required: Only trained, licensed applicators should handle this fumigant.

    • PPE Needed: Use protective gloves, full-face respirators with phosphine filters, and chemical-resistant suits.

    • Storage: Keep in cool, dry, and ventilated storage rooms away from water, heat, and incompatible chemicals.

    • Post-Application Entry: Re-enter fumigated areas only after complete aeration and gas concentration is below 0.3 ppm.
